Biography
Abbigail Ajim has been an educator for 11 years. She has taught British undergraduate programmes in Media and Communications for Pearson EDEXCEL (Higher National Diploma in Creative Media Production) and the University of Greenwich, London (BA (Hons) in Media and Communications) in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.
Research interests
Her research interest lies in news sociology, particularly the reporting of violent crime.

Selected Publications/scholarly and creative work
She has conducted research on the press coverage of kidnapping for ransom in Trinidad and Tobago using content analysis and in-depth interviews with crime reporters over a twelve-year period between 1998 and 2009.
