Biography
Paul received his B.A. in Writing and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, his M.A. in Linguistics (TESOL) from Syracuse University in 2002, and his Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education in 2016.
From 1996-1998 Paul worked as a language teacher in South Korea. He moved to Dubai in 1998. He was an instructor in the Preparatory Program at UAE University from 2002-2005. From 2005-2011 he worked at The College of the North Atlantic in Qatar.
Paul took a break from teaching in 2011-2012 to build his house on a white sand beach amongst the coconut trees on the island of Siquijor in the Philippines.
From 2012-2019 Paul was an Assistant Professor at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi.
Research interests
Paul is interested in rural education in areas with low socio-economic status.
