Biography
Svetlana (Lana) Vikhnevich is a lecturer of English at Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), specializing in teaching English as a second language (TESL). Lana taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Shenzhen, China, for three years and obtained her CELTA teaching certificate in Shanghai. After receiving a Fulbright grant, she enrolled in the M.A. TESL program at Northern Arizona University (NAU), where she also taught English enhancement classes for Chinese visiting scholars. She joined WKU as an EFL Lecturer in 2017, where she teaches English as a Second Language courses (e.g., ESL 0303, ESL 0403) and Basic Theory and Practice of Teaching English as a Second Language (e.g., EMSE 3420 and ESME 3421). Her research interests include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), Students as Partners (SaP), educational technology, and L2 learning and teaching.
