Biography

I began my professional career working in AIB branch banking while studying in UCD. Continued working in AIB after graduation, moving to a commercial dept. dealing with banking securities. Returned to college to study law. Moved into the legal field, first with AIB and then progressing on to a private law firm.

The Irish economy suffered quite badly from the 2008/2009 financial crisis and like numerous others, I found myself unemployed. I got an opportunity to move to Czech Republic to teach English to a group of lawyers hoping to move to the UK for work. That began my career in teaching.

I have lived and worked in Europe, teaching a variety of courses, for four years before moving to the Middle East. I spend almost 9 years working in Qatar with shorter spells in the UAE, Saudi and Egypt.

Looking for a new challenge and having new lived in Asia, I decide to move to China and Wenzhou seemed like the perfect place to start.
