I’m Zoe and I’m from Newcastle in the UK. I’m working here as a Lecturer in Composition. I’ve been teaching since 2003 and during this time have worked in a number of different and exciting places. Having the opportunity to teach overseas has been an immensely enriching experience, both personally and professionally. I’ve learnt a great deal and have worked with, and met, lots of interesting people. I’m very excited to be working at WKU and am looking forward to seeing what this chapter in my life here in China will bring. I hope to see as much of the country as I can and get to learn a bit of Chinese along the way. On a more personal note, I’m here with my husband, who is also a lecturer, and we really enjoy exploring different places at the weekend. I’m also really into yoga and have started classes here even though I can’t understand anything the yoga instructor is saying! I’m confident that working here and living in China is going to be an extremely rewarding and memorable experience.
